Have we mentioned how much positive customer feedback makes our day? Recently, we spoke with Roy and Margaret Ramirez, who had great things to say about their experience working with Blairfield Realty and our very own Monica Blackburn. We’re so glad to have her on our team!
“Don’t worry, we’ve got it covered.” If you’ve bought or sold a home lately, you know how important it is to have a real estate agent who is committed to doing whatever it takes to help you through this major life change. According to Roy and Margaret Ramirez, Monica Blackburn and the Blairfield Realty team did just that, every step of the way.
Roy and Margaret weren’t even sure they were ready to put their home up for sale. They had been Barton Hills residents since 1976 and were just beginning to think about downsizing. After meeting Donna Blair at some open houses in the neighborhood and making a connection with her, they happened to run into a neighbor who had recently sold her home and raved about Blairfield Realty. Soon, they agreed to let Donna advertise their home on the company website, and before it even went to market, the couple had received an offer.
Since the house went under contract much sooner than they anticipated, Roy and Margaret hadn’t even begun to look for a new place to live. Enter Monica Blackburn, a Blairfield agent Margaret described as “thoughtful and reassuring … she was good about asking us what we were looking for and worked hard to find us the right home.” Always ready to drop everything for her clients, Monica greatly reduced the stress that inevitably comes with a home purchase. And according to Roy, finding them the ideal home was no small task: “We had really specific criteria—we wanted to live in a one-story house with a three-car garage in a particular neighborhood … I think we made it harder for her!”
Monica showed Roy and Margaret several homes, but they either went under contract almost immediately or didn’t quite fit the bill. One morning, though, Monica called the couple about an inside line she had on a house that would soon be going to market. Very quickly, Roy and Margaret knew that they had found their new home. But that was just the beginning of their great experience with Monica and Blairfield Realty. Roy said, “Monica went out of her way to be there for us.” From finding moving boxes and photographing and posting items for sale on Craigslist—to arranging for unpacking help and managing a few necessary repairs, Monica and the Blairfield team delivered.
“There was never a break in service,” said Margaret.
Added Roy, “I can’t say enough for all of the staff at Blairfield. Working with them was a great experience.”
