Austin music lovers have plenty to choose from in the way of festivals. Hot on the heels of ACL Festival is Fun Fun Fun Fest, celebrating its 10-year anniversary on November 6 – 8 and taking place at Auditorium Shores. To ring in the anniversary, this year’s Fun Fun Fun Fest has a special theme, “the science of fun,” and back in July, famed science guy Bill Nye announced the lineup, which includes headliners such as Wu-Tang Clan, D’Angelo and The Vanguard, Venom, Coheed and Cambria, CHVRCHES, and Jane’s Addiction.

fun-fun-fun-fest-2015Described on its website as “the darling of independent festivals for music lovers and music makers in the United States,” Fun Fun Fun Fest focuses specifically on hip-hop/electronicaindie rock, and punk/metal. There’s also a comedy lineup that plays into the fun, scientific motif and features top comedy acts like Tig Notaro, Doug Benson, Andrew W.K., Eric Andre, Todd Barry, Jonah Ray and Kurt Braunohler. Big Freedia will even be there to give twerking lessons, and GZA plans to “dissect the science of hip-hop.” Besides the great musical entertainment, event-goers can enjoy carefully curated food, retail, and nonprofit vendors, and poster art.

This three-day event features six stages, and tickets are on sale now and include single or three-day passes. Check out funfunfunfest.com for more info.
