Blairfield Realty had the pleasure to work recently with Nikki and Keith Maples, 10-year residents of Barton Hills who stumbled upon their dream home and with the help of Donna, Tamara and their team, are now living in it!
Keith and Nikki first met Tamara at Barton Hills Elementary – they had children in the same grade – and later got to know Donna through various events in the neighborhood. The Maples would attend Blairfield Realty’s open houses, and Donna and Tamara supported several of the charity and fundraising events in which they were involved. While the couple was always looking to see what was happening in the Barton Hills real estate world, they really had no intention of moving. But one day, Nikki noticed a spec house being built one street away from where they lived, and the rest is history.
The house wasn’t even finished, but Donna was able to schedule an appointment for Nikki and Keith to view it the very next day. Their offer was accepted, and thus began the process of selling their current home. “It was a unique, ultra-modern home, so we needed to find the right buyer. The Blairfield team was always hustling and kept in constant contact with us. I never wondered what they were doing.” The house didn’t sell immediately, but Nikki and Keith were confident in Donna’s knowledge of the market and trusted her recommendations around pricing, which Donna always took the time to explain in detail.
Most of all, the process was “super easy,” says Nikki. She especially noted the personal touch that extended to everything that Donna and Tamara did. “They went above and beyond any service or treatment I would have expected—even helping me out with a few personal errands along the way. The transaction made us even better friends,” she added.
The best part for Nikki of using Blairfield Realty to help them buy and sell a home was at closing time. “There was such a warm, congratulatory feel,” she said. “You could tell that they were genuinely happy for us that we’d gotten into our dream home. I can’t say enough good things about them. They have a charm that grabs your heart.”
