Now in its 59th season, the Zilker Summer Musical is back in full swing, delighting audiences of all ages with its latest production, “The Wizard of Oz”! Performances are scheduled every Thursday-Sunday around 8:15 pm now through August 12 at the Beverly S. Sheffield Zilker Hillside Theater.
For those of you who haven’t been lucky enough to see a live performance at the Hillside Theater, this favorite summertime tradition is not to be missed! Located in Zilker Park, across from Barton Springs Pool, the theater is an outdoor venue that has been home to numerous events, shows and concerts for more than 50 years, including Shakespeare in the Park, The South Asian New Year hosted by the Texas Bengali Cultural Alliance, and the aforementioned Zilker Theatre Production’s Summer Musical.
The show is free, but donations are always welcome to help support the Zilker Theatre Productions’ mission to “provide access to the entire community to exceptional performing arts experiences.”
