If you’re a KUT 90.5 listener, you’ve probably heard of ATXplained. This crowdsourced reporting project takes a closer look at some of the people, places and culture that make Austin unique. Austinites are encouraged to submit questions that, if selected, are researched and answered by a KUT reporter. Popular 2019 stories included the origins of Texas Toast, why the “Jenga” tower looks unfinished, the real story behind Dan’s and Fran’s Hamburgers and more.
And now, ATXplained fans can join KUT for a night of live storytelling featuring eight brand-new stories accompanied by sound, music, photos and video. It’s all happening live on January 23 at the Hogg Auditorium on the UT campus. To purchase tickets to ATXplained Live, click here. To read past stories, listen to podcasts, and submit your question, visit the ATXplained page on the KUT website.
