Coming soon to a theater near you: The Better Cities Film Festival
Now in its fifth year, the Better Cities Film Festival is happening Monday, September 16 from 7-9pm at the Alamo Drafthouse – Mueller (1911 Aldrich St #120, Austin). The LA-based festival will feature a series of films focused on the theme of making better cities, towns and neighborhoods. Its vision is “to move the conversation about urban planning and design out of classrooms and council chambers and onto the silver screen, engaging the broader community in the vital work of placemaking and neighborhood revitalization through storytelling.”
The festival is here in Austin in collaboration with the Congress for the New Urbanism Central Texas Chapter (CNU-CTX). CNU-CTX brings together experts, leaders, and citizens to guide our region toward creating more livable and prosperous communities, with the goal of creating places people love in Central Texas. The CNU-CTX chapter includes the Austin and San Antonio metroplexes and their surrounding counties. Festival tickets are $15.
