Art from the Streets show leaves Austin Central Library on October 14 – check it out while you can!
If you haven’t been to the fantastic new Central Library, now you have one more reason to go … but hurry! Art from the Streets artwork is on display through October 14. Be sure to check it out in the second floor gallery at 710 W. Cesar Chavez while you still can.
Art from the Streets provides materials to people experiencing homelessness and struggling artists in Austin. Artists create work in a variety of mediums to tell their individual stories, history and perspective. Their special collection, “Austin Through Our Eyes,” features exhibition-quality prints of that beautiful body of work, with sales of the artwork helping these artists gain financial support and self-esteem.
