Last spring when we decided to sell our house in central Austin, I called Monica Blackburn at Blairfield Realty. I had met Monica when our daughters went to high school together, and I knew that she had gotten her real estate license. I can honestly say that calling Monica was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. To say that she worked long hours and dealt with some unexpected challenges, is an understatement. Not only did she help us sell our house, she also helped us find our new house. Any time that I found a house that I was interested in seeing, Monica was there to take me to the house. I can’t tell you how many houses we looked at. Finally, we were under contract with our house and had put a contract on our new house, when the proverbial “you know what” hit the fan. I won’t go into many details, but the day that we closed on our house, we had less than 12 hours to vacate the house including all of our furniture and other belongings. Monica and the Blairfield team went to work and got us packed up and moved out by the end of the day. Monica, I and 7 movers were up until 2:30 in the morning moving our belongings into storage. Talk about above and beyond the call of duty. And, through it all, Monica never lost her sense of humor. I will recommend Monica and the Blairfield team to anyone who is considering selling or buying a home.
