If one of your New Year’s resolutions is to make some headway on your home projects list, be sure to mark your calendar for 19th annual Austin Home & Garden Show! Taking place January 13-15 at the Austin Convention Center, this year’s show will feature the latest in products and services for your indoor and outdoor living spaces.
Attendees will be treated to a special guest appearance by Allison Victoria, star of DIY Network’s Kitchen Crashers. In the show, Victoria surprises homeowners in Las Vegas and Chicago with extravagant kitchen redesigns, all completed in just days. The goal is to help homeowners bring “style, beauty and simplicity together to create harmony in their kitchens.”
Other show highlights will include magnificent landscape displays and water features, tips and tricks for beautifying your lawn and garden at the Garden Stage, aisles of home improvement inspiration and solutions, and outdoor living products and ideas. Event-goers can also check out three of the most popular “container homes” from Make it Modular, Central Texas’ first builder of fully functional container-based building products.
But that’s not all! Back by popular demand is the New Product Zone, a display of the newest products to help with everyday tasks around the house. And you can make sure your dollars are staying in the local economy by shopping at the GoTexan Art, Gift & Gourmet area, a section dedicated to foods and handcrafted items from members of Go Texan as well as local artisans. Finally, there will be an interactive Kid’s Zone and Pet Zone to keep both youngsters and furry friends entertained.
Tickets are $9.50 plus a $.57 service charge and can be purchased online. For a complete schedule of events and more information, visit the event website.
